National Level Science Exhibition – PRAVID 2K19
The Indian Public School, Dehradun.
As an extended initiative, The Atal Tinkering Lab recently inaugurated at The Indian Public School, successfully organized National Level Science Exhibition – 2k19 popularly entitled ‘Pravid’. The Exhibition was powered by ‘Quanta Project’, Help from the Quanta was utilized to increase the spread awareness about various environmental issues in the world and to increase the attendance at the event.
Atal Tinkering Labs are spread across the length and breadth of the country and established by schools in response to the initiative taken by Niti Ayog, Govt of India to foster talent and provide accessible platform to students who are willing to explore their innate talent and creative genius. The central theme remains to innovate and create something new and unique. In this exhibition 13 schools fielded functional models.
The Sawan Public School, Sirsa Haryana stood first followed by Shemford Doon in the second place and the third place went to Tulas’ International School. Ridge Valley School, Gurugram won the award for Best use of Technology and The Asian School grabbed the award for Most Sustainable project.
The inspiring presence of Mr.Anand Bardhan, IAS and Principal Secretary, Govt. of Uttarakhand really motivated the teams to put in their best. The distinguished panel of judges comprised Dr.Mahendra Kumar Pant, Professor and Head, Department of Anatomy & Consultant Psychiatrist The Govt. Doon Medical College, Dr.P.S.Rawat PhD. Forestry, Principal Scientist in Forest Research Institute, Dehradun and Dr.Sandip Vijay, Director of Shivalik Group of Institutions was also present.
The Chief Guest Mr.Anand Bardhan, IAS was received by Mr.Sanjeeva Kumar Sinha, Principal of The Indian Public School and the organizing members of the Department of Science.
The exhibition ended on a high note of future expectation. The modular display by students was amazing and widely appreciated by the Chief Guest and the Staff present in Student Activity Center.
